We called Family Tree Service to remove a large tree that was a problem. It was too close to the house and it was dying. They were professional and friendly. They got it done in a few hours. They ground down the stump, removed the tree, and left the place cleaner than they found it. It was amazing to watch them make decisions about which branch to cut. They made it SEEM EASY! WOW. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Update: Got a second opinion and was assured the trees don’t have mistletoe and the tree in front doesn’t need to come down just needs a trim. The owner did respond to the review, however he doubled down and said “it’s 100% mistletoe”. It’s not mistletoe. Additionally he stopped responding when I asked him for his International society of Arboriculture cert number. He advertises being a member on his card but his name is not listed in their publicly available website. To close with the facts: this is a paid ISA membership, not a certification or professional credential, though its presentation can reasonably be interpreted as one by homeowners. Had an estimate done in early March. Arborist stated multiple oak trees were dead and recommended removal (~$2,500), including removal of the tree in front due to its "current condition." Within weeks, all of those same trees fully leafed out and are clearly alive. No clear explanation was ever provided for what the "current condition" actually was. He also pointed to Spanish moss and explained that people often think it's decorative or "Christmas-like," but that it's actually harmful, identifying it as mistletoe-which is incorrect. Based on this experience, I would strongly recommend getting a second opinion before approving any tree removal.

Mr. Holt came out and gave me an estimate for several trees, one tree on the property line of problem neighbor, doing a favor. I had to readjust our initial assessment and Elbert was so gracious and worked with me to do as much as financially possible for me. His crew was early and ready to work. They were as professional and spot on when dropping those huge trees. When I think of tree work, the actual process is far more impressive and controlled and these guys work hard. Those machines are beasts. Their job was perfect and I would definitely recommend them to anyone. Elbert is personable and has a great service and I thank him very much.

Family Tree Service did an outstanding job! They were professional, polite, extremely hard working and precise. They removed two trees and completely cleaned all debris within in an hour! They exceeded my expectations. I will only use them again and recommend their services to everyone!

Absolutely five stars. Family Tree Service is hands down the best tree service I have ever worked with, and they are the only company I will use moving forward. From start to finish, the experience was outstanding. The work itself was excellent, efficient, clean, and clearly done by people who know exactly what they are doing. Hunter, in particular, was incredibly professional. He communicated clearly, showed up when he said he would, and made sure every detail was handled the right way. You could tell immediately that he takes pride in his work and genuinely cares about the customer experience. I have used Family Tree Service before, and this job just reinforced why I keep coming back. The customer service was incredible, the crew was respectful and hardworking, and the final result exceeded my expectations. Mr. Holt was quick to respond to our phone call for estimate even though it was the day after the storm (Helene). He came and was very professional and took time to also discuss options. His team arrived several days later (sooner than we had hoped) and were efficient, safe and through. When looking for a tree service we recommend Family Tree Service.
