After a tree fell on our house and we filed insurance, someone recommended this tree service to us. Well, some random people showed up around dinner time in what looked like their personal SUV and started working on the tree. We had no clue who they were until we had to ask (unprofessional). Then a couple days later two different people showed up and finished the job. Jim showed up that day as well asking for money as a "retainer" so he could pay his people (not sure why he does not have any overhead to make payroll) after he knew it was an insurance job and that he would be paid when insurance cleared. He then left. after the tree was cut up and put in the trailer he left on the side of the road in front of my house, we haven't heard anything else. How long will this trailer be in front of my house blocking my view pulling in and out of the driveway (trailer looks broke down and in bad shape)? I am starting to question if this is an actual business or not.

DO NOT USE BUYER BEWARE. This guy goes around Augusta overcharging people for jobs and taking advantage of disabled senior citizens. He will over talk you and never let you get a word in. He seems like he is on drugs to me. I have received two estimates from him and no bill. The estimates he provided are nothing near what the actual work performed. I don’t even think he is a liscensed contractor. He does not provide any assurance bond or liscense number on any of his paperwork and has no general liability insurance. I’ve been advised my many people after the fact this is what he does try to take advantage of senior citizens. Do not use this company trust me use someone else. It has been a nightmare for the start dealing with this company. The workers he sent to our house we had no clue they were come and when they got here they had to use our tool's. Buyer beware!

Received the worst service anyone can pay for. It took a month for this guy to cut down two trees. I was told I had a two day job, one day would be a take down day and the other would be a clean-up day. Let's just say this turned into cat and mouse. You have to chase the owner to get the job completed after you have paid. This company left a latter attached to my house for a month and woods scattered everywhere, untagged suv parked in front of my house for weeks and a uncompleted job. Owner will approach you as if they are wrapping up the job to get you to pay in which he will clear your check to never return. When calling several times to ask when the job would be completed Jim will act like he doesn't know who he's talking to. Please take business elsewhere.

I can't really comment on their tree removal ability. Jim came by unsolicited and quoted a price on two trees. Called him April 24 to have him come over. He said he'd come by soon, but after not hearing anything from him, I called back May 5. He apologized and said he'd come by in the next few days. After hearing nothing after that, I called back on May 11. This time I told him it was the last time I was calling if he didn't show up. He promised to come by THAT DAY or the day after and apologized profusely. It's now May 18. I've heard nothing from him and had another company come out to take them down today - since one was in serious danger of falling in the coming day's storms. It's strange that this business has two listings - one in Augusta and one in North Augusta - and the N.A. one is down around 3 stars.

Great job from start to finish. One of the best experiences dealing withJ B Tree Services. Came out immediately and gave us a reasonable price. Had the tree down and yard cleaned up in three days. I had stump ground up a few days later and was more than satisfied. You can’t go wrong win them

These gentlemen removed a tree in a difficult spot in my backyard. Where others wanted to charge me 950 to 1200 these guys were able to do it for a fraction of that price. Their hard work and service were impeccably. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs to have trees removed professionally.
