After a couple of years thinking about it and evaluating multiple quotes, I recently hired Winston’s to put in some badly needed landscape upgrades. Where I had a hill in the back with a bunch of dead azaleas and a few other plants, they put in two block walls and some fill dirt turning it into a nice area for future planting. They also added some boulder steps down a steep transition area. In the front yard they put in a large “boulder feature” on a hillside too steep for mowing, cobble edging along the walkway, river rocks covering an area where the grass has not done well, as well as an irrigation system. They also placed a couple of the boulders in the new back yard area. All the above was nicely done and I’m quite happy with the results. I stayed in close touch with Winston’s project manager and the team and together we were able to achieve my desired results. I will likely be going back to Winston’s for some more work, maybe next summer. See some before and after photos of the back yard area below.

Before we hired Winston’s our back yard was a total eyesore, nothing but dirt and weeds. More problematic was the fact that it was nearly inaccessible; the house sits on a steep bluff, and getting equipment and supplies to the site was a major challenge. We discovered Winston’s at the Home Show and met Zach who came to the house and created a design that ultimately transformed our eyesore into the backyard of our dreams. The changes were dramatic – we went from a dirt patch to a beautiful outdoor space with a pool/spa, putting green, custom fire pit, retaining wall with bench, a fence and an array of plants and shrubs, complete with irrigation and landscape lighting. But what’s even more impressive is HOW it was done. Every challenge that the steep landscape presented the team at Winston’s was able to overcome. Throughout the project they could not have been easier to work with or more responsive to our requests. Arch, Zach, Jackson, Miguel and the entire team were extremely professional, thorough and skillful. I highly recommend Winston’s Removal and Landscaping.

I needed to clean up the mess from a pergola which literally fell apart and crashed to the ground during a heavy rainstorm. I contacted Winston’s and they had some good suggestions for a replacement of the pergola – so I went with their suggestion of building a trellis panel (love it!). Additionally, my backyard (after years of neglect) was an eyesore and needed to be addressed. They came up with a plan (rock garden) which was executed perfectly and quickly. I am so rarely pleased by the performance of contractors for any work I’ve ever had done, but I was SO pleased with Winston’s performance – well organized, helpful, on time to work, great execution, great follow-through on all commitments, cleanup of work site and best of all – no surprises! Thanks to Trey and Matt for making everything happen and to the broader group for their support to get the project done quickly and painlessly. I will definitely be calling Winston’s for my future projects!

I had been wanting to redo my backyard but it took me a few years to figure out a plan and who to hire. Winston's worked really well with coming up with designs and ideas. They were very patient with me as this was a big job and I moved slowly on it. I finally approved everything and I was not disappointed. The workmanship and creative designs for the pavers and cabana blows me away. They were diligent and did not nickel-dime me with change orders. If something wasn't right, they corrected it, no problem. It has been a really great experience. Thank you Arch for my outdoor oasis.
