I hired this company on September 11th to come clear 20+ trees off my property. My wife walked through the project with them prior to starting the job and marked all of the trees that were to be cut down with bright pink ribbon. They started the job on September 22nd. We asked for 2 trees that we marked with spray paint be left for firewood. After they “finished”, I noticed that there was a large pile of cut up trees and piles of thick wood chips left behind. I called them & told them that this isn’t what we agreed to. He stated he would come out & finish the job & they left over 6 trees in the pile. Some pieces were so large that you needed machinery to move them. He strung me along for 1 1/2 months saying he would be back out to get it. Once I realize he was not coming, I let him know that he absolutely has to come get this wood. No more putting it off. He then starts talking about how we never paid for him to haul the trees off and he hauled off what he did as a favor to us. This makes no sense as it stated in the contract that tree trunks would be removed as well as all debris. He also claims that I added trees after the quote and I never paid for those. That is not true. Even if it was, it is his obligation to adjust the price. Even though I went through the project with him and had the trees marked, he almost left without cutting the last tree. He claimed that one was only supposed to be pruned, but I could not have made it any clearer that it needed to be cut down. I also noticed a hole in my fence where one of his crew members let a branch fall and slam right into it. I had to to figure out how to patch a vinyl fence. Lastly, the roots were not ground properly like the contract stated they would be. In the end, we had to find a way to dispose of the massive trees. I don’t have the finances to rent bigger equipment. It was multiple weekends of grueling physical labor and burning through multiple chainsaw chains trying to dispose of this wood that we paid him to take care of!!! I also have to find a way to rent a stump grinder because he didn’t grind the roots down as he was supposed to, so I’m hitting them with the mower. If you want to use this guy, do so at your own risk. DO NOT pay him until the job is completed in full and to your satisfaction. ***Edit/Update*** I posted this review on 1/3/2021.
