Very disappointing experience overall, especially since this company came highly recommended by a neighbor. The communication and pricing throughout this process were frustrating and inconsistent. I was initially told the cost to install a replacement tree would be one price. Then as we get closer, I was then told it would match the cost of the tree itself. For example, if the tree cost $50, installation would be $50 and if the tree cost $500, installation would be $500. And I would have to buy soil. They confirmed that was correct. When I pointed out that pricing structure made no sense, I ultimately scrapped the replacement tree installation altogether and only removed the tree and ground the stump. After the work was completed, I was left with a large mound of mostly dirt in my front yard. When I asked how it would be made flush, I was told to either wait for it to settle and rake it myself or pay an additional $100 for someone to come back out and remove excess dirt. On top of that, there were no missed calls or voicemails from the company despite claims otherwise, no clear heads up before work began, and no utility lines were marked before the job. We were also told we would receive wood chips/mulch, which never happened. Overall, the lack of communication, transparency, and follow-through made this a disappointing experience from start to finish.

Wow! I am so incredibly impressed. To say that J's Woodpecker Tree Service exceeded our expectations would be an understatement. Both my husband and I were blown away by everything they did. Perfection!! It's a challenge to find qualified contractors these days, but folks, these guys are simply ourstanding at what they do, from start to finish!! First - quick response time. They called me back within minutes of my initial request for a quote and the owner came out within a couple days. Quote price was reasonable. Second - He LISTENED! He HEARD everything I said and made suggestions which resulted in us getting exactly what we wanted, and then some. This guy knows his stuff. Very knowledgeable, and personable too! Third - he and his crew run like a well-oiled machine. When they get started, they run full-throttle all day long, except for a much-deserved 1-hour lunch break. They started at 8am and didn't leave until 7:30pm. I was exhausted just watching them!! 😄 Fourth - Our job was not an easy one. We had 20 trees removed and stumps ground above a stone terraced wall. We also had three large trees next to our house that we're leaning towards our patio and house. And finally there were trees around my husband's "Man Cabin," one of which was about six inches from the corner of the cabin, and another tree was a few feet from our power line. No damage whatsoever. Didn't even have to call the power company to cut off the power! Fifth - They cleaned up after themselves. I mean like, REALLY cleaned up - it was better than before they came!!! From behind the house to the road at the end of our very long driveway, spotless. You wouldn't even be able to tell that work had just been done. Sixth - Communication was excellent throughout. Work ethic - off the charts!! Several people recommended them on Nextdoor - NOT my favorite place to find contractors - but I looked up his reviews on Google maps and decided to contact him. Am I glad I did!! If you're considering hiring J's Woodpecker Tree Service, DO IT!! Don't hesitate! You'll be exceptionally pleased, as we are!! I wish I could give them 10 stars!!!!

We just had an amazing experience with Jesus and his company. We desperately needed our overgrown oak tree that sits directly in front of our home trimmed. We had limbs growing over our roof and it was getting dangerous. I reached out to them for a quote and they responded immediately. They came out and gave us a few options and quotes. The quotes were very reasonable and fair. When we made the decision to go ahead with the work, they once again responded immediately and offered a time the very next day. The next day, Jesus and crew arrived and let us know they were here to start the job. Let me tell you, they were extremely professional, courteous and were incredible to watch them work their magic! To say we were impressed is an understatement. Jesus jumped right in with his team and did some work as well. He also was on site the entire time. After the work was completed, they cleaned up the yard and left it better than when they arrived. We highly recommend Jesus and his company for any tree service you may need. They also do yard clean up and we will be using them again next week to clear out the overgrowth in our backyard.

Highly recommend J’s Woodpecker. I’ve heard horror stories of people being charged over $3,000 for difficult jobs but J’s did 2 difficult tree-removals (leaning towards my house) + a difficult pruning job (40 feet up, hanging over a porch) for under $1,000. They arrived on time, finished the job, and cleaned up in under 2 hours. The price I paid never changed from what they quoted me. Best of all, the crew was friendly and communicative, and checked in routinely to make sure I was satisfied. Best crew in the Marietta / Roswell / Woodstock area!

Jesus, the owner, gave me my quote and was very respectful and pleasant to deal with and he was very knowledgeable. They were very reasonable with pricing and the crew was great. They worked hard, were skilled, cleaned up great, and were respectful. The whole team also communicated very well through the process.

Great work and great price. Clean up after the job was spot on. 7 large trees and 10 smaller ones and you barely know they were here. Highly recommended.
