Pine Mountain, Georgia

Pine Mountain is a town in western Georgia. Callaway Gardens has a lake, a butterfly house and birds of prey exhibits, plus a golf course and flower gardens. The Pine Mountain Trail winds past waterfalls and rocky outcrops in F.D. Roosevelt State Park. Roosevelt died in 1945 at his vacation cottage, the Little White House, now a museum. Zebras, bears and monkeys are on show at Wild Animal Safari northwest of town.
