John is great to work with! This was our second experience with him and once again the job was over the top! We told him what we wanted and he helped us design it. He was flexible with changes we requested to the design, and he made our backyard into a beautiful low maintenance flower garden with a retaining wall and patio to enjoy blooms year round! They are fast and efficient and do the job right the first time. John is great for follow up and will make it right if there’s any issue. Highly recommend Classic Landscapes!

In Fall of 2025, I engaged Classic Landscapes to update an existing landscape to achieve a more updated appearance with lower maintenance. Owner John Newman not only met but exceeded all of my expectations! He created a plan that complimented the Craftsman architecture of my house in keeping with the "village" feel of our small neighborhood. All work was accomplished on time as promised and the few new plants that did not survive the first winter were promptly replaced.

I would highly recommend Classic Landscaping for any type of yard modification or landscaping / design. Classic came out and performed a detailed survey of our backyard and then went over some ideas with pictures. From there, Classic designed the modifications to the backyard to solve some of our drainage and tree coverage issues on our lawn and gardens. Classic gave us a number of good options and suggestions. Classic worked with us on the scheduling of work really well. Classic always called us to tell us when they would be out the next day and what work was going to be performed. Classic stayed in touch with us on everything including a major fence relocation that we did not have to end up performing since the modifications ended up meeting code height requirements for having a pool. When it comes to price, Classic was very reasonable and gave us several different cost options including the money back on the fence modifications. No change orders – they did it for what they said even though they had to perform some extra work in certain areas. Classic also left our lawn looking great and removed all of the trash. Any unused materials they used on other areas of the yard. Great work, great looking, fixed our drainage problem and helped our lawn look much better – exactly what we wanted.

My husband and I have had Classic Landscape do several projects for us over the past 11 or 12 years. We had water problems in the backyard and they put in French drains many years ago, along with a dry bed in the front. We haven't had a water problem since then. They have re-landscaped all around the house for us. One of the things I appreciate is that they make every effort to give you the landscape that you want. They take their time to find out what are some of the things that you really like, what is your vision. And the Classic Landscape work crews are the very best. Friendly, but they are working every minute they are at your house!
