We’ve known for a while that our neighbor was a “tree guy,” but we had no idea just how skilled he really was. Over the years, we had even watched him up in the trees in his own yard, carefully and precisely trimming limbs. I remember thinking that being that high up must be exhilarating for someone who isn’t afraid of heights. A few weeks ago, a sign went up in his yard for North GA Arborists, and around the same time, we had been keeping a close eye on a massive tree in our front yard. It sat right by our walkway, with a trunk split into four large sections and branches hanging over the house. After the storms last week, a few branches fell into the walkway, and the wood looked too soft to be healthy. That was enough for me to reach out. Since we already knew his wife from being neighbors, I sent her a message and quickly learned the sign was for Brad’s company. Being neighbors made it easy for Brad to come by that evening and take a look. It turns out our concerns were right, the tree needed to come down. But what impressed us most was that Brad saw things we hadn’t even noticed. He spotted a large dangling branch that was ready to cause damage at any moment, along with another broken limb caught up between other branches. As impressed as we were during the assessment, the real awe came the morning the work started. Brad walked his ground guy through every detail: where he was starting, where the limbs would fall, who needed to manage what, where the equipment would move, and what areas needed extra attention. It was honestly like watching a carefully planned dance unfold across our front yard. You can tell Brad has a true passion for what he does. The saying “love what you do and you’ll never work a day in your life” came to mind more than once while watching him work. He was focused, skilled, calm, and clearly in his element. In just two days, they removed the tree, stacked the logs, cleared the brush, and left everything handled with care. Overall, it was a great experience from start to finish, and we’ve already talked with Brad about a few other trees we may need to address in the future. We’re thankful to have found out our neighbor isn’t just a tree guy, he’s a true professional arborist.
